Operation Glory took place from September 1, 1954 through October 1, 1954. Operation Glory was the name of the operation to transfer remains from North Korea/China to the U.N. and vice-versa at the end of the Korean War.
U.N. officials said they had definite records on 1,729 of the bodies the Communists returned. These soldiers were buried in 10 cemeteries throughout North Korea during the Allied drive to the Yalu River in the fall of 1950.
There were no exchanges on Sundays. The Communists delivered their last remains to the U.N. on September 21, 1954.
