Request for Assistance – Seven Bridges POW/MIA Remembrance Ride & Ceremony

Good day,

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Denny Luke, and I serve as the POW/MIA Chairman for The American Legion Department of Florida. One of my responsibilities is working alongside the National POW/MIA Memorial & Museum here in Jacksonville, Florida, to help plan and execute our annual Seven Bridges POW/MIA Remembrance Ride and Ceremony.

This event is a police-escorted motorcycle ride that travels over the seven bridges crossing the St. Johns River, ending at the National POW/MIA Memorial for a commemorative ceremony. The ride covers approximately 100 miles and takes about two hours to complete.

This year, the Memorial would like to place special emphasis on honoring those who served during the Korean War. With that in mind, I am reaching out to see if you may know of any Korean War-era associations, organizations, or individuals who may be interested in participating or assisting with the event.

We would especially welcome:

  • Static displays or historical exhibits
  • Veterans or representatives of Korean War organizations
  • Potential guest speakers for the ceremony

Any assistance, recommendations, or contacts you may be able to provide would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time, consideration, and continued support of our POW/MIA mission.

Respectfully,

Denny Luke
POW/MIA Chairman
The American Legion Department of Florida
